Crews made quick work of a house fire Saturday morning in north Wichita
Firefighters were called around 8:30 a.m. to a home in the 2300 block of North Waco. They reported seeing smoke and flames when they arrived on scene.
The fire was extinguished about 15 minutes later. Four people who were inside got out safely.
Investigators determined that extension cords running underneath a couch had shorted out and caught fire. Damage is estimated at $25,000.
