MANHATTAN – Organizers of The Big 94.5 Country Stampede call its closing day Sunday Fun Day, and this year the emphasis will definitely be on the first syllable of that title – sun.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory in effect from 1 p.m., when gates will open to the festival grounds, until 8 p.m., when the day’s headlining act, The Band Perry, will take the stage to close out the 17th edition of the country music and camping festival at Tuttle Creek State Park north of Manhattan.
