Two structure fires are being reported this afternoon — one in Emporia and one in Lyon County.
A structure was reported at 1010 West St. around 2:10 p.m. Fire crews arrived on scene at 2:15 p.m. Barricades are up at Ninth Avenue and West Street and Grove Street and Washington Street due to a structure fire in the area.
A second structure fire was reported at 2572 Road P at 2:30 p.m. Scanner traffic indicates that everyone is out of the home on Road P. No injuries are associated with this fire, Lyon-Coffey County Electric Coop is on scene. Flames and heavy smoke are visible.
