Seven railcars loaded with coal derailed Sunday morning near Perry, a Union Pacific Railroad spokesman said.
The train, which had three locomotives and 135 railcars loaded with coal, was traveling to Kentucky from Wyoming, said Union Pacific spokesman Mark Davis.
The derailment took place about 11:45 a.m. near Perry, Davis said. No one was injured.
“The cause (of the derailment) is under investigation,” Davis said.
The line was closed after the derailment. However, Davis said crews were working and hoped to have the line reopened Sunday night.
