…Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Geary,
southeastern Riley, northwestern Shawnee, Wabaunsee, southeastern
Pottawatomie, Jackson, southeastern Nemaha and southwestern Brown
Counties through 900 PM CDT…
At 828 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Wetmore to 4 miles northwest of Alma.
Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Wamego, Holton, Horton, Rossville, Alma, St. Marys, Silver Lake,
Hoyt, Maple Hill, Wetmore, Mayetta, McFarland, Paxico, Belvue,
Emmett, Whiting, Denison, Circleville, Delia and Netawaka.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 319 and 349.
