…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING
TO NOON CST THURSDAY…
* WHAT…Snow is likely to begin tonight and continue through late
Wednesday night. Periods of moderate to heavy snow are possible.
Areas along and south of Interstate 35 may see a brief window of
freezing rain and sleet. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 10
inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze are possible.
* WHERE…Portions of east central and northeast Kansas.
* WHEN…From 9 PM this evening to noon CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Wind chills may fall to near 10 degrees
below zero Thursday morning.
