…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING…
* WHAT…Rain will transition to snow Tuesday evening, with heavy
snow possible overnight through Wednesday. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 11 inches possible with highest amounts
along and southeast of the Kansas Turnpike.
* WHERE…Portions of central, east central and northeast Kansas.
* WHEN…From Tuesday evening through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Wind chills as low as 15 below zero
Wednesday and Thursday mornings could result in hypothermia if
precautions are not taken.
