A few area third graders rode to school in something red instead of yellow this week.
Emma Graff was one of them. She pulled up to Shawnee Heights Elementary School on a fire truck Friday morning..
Emma was one of four winners in the Shawnee Heights Fire Department’s Annual Poster Contest for Fire Prevention Week.
This year’s theme was preventing kitchen fires. In addition to Emma, Georgia Hill got a ride to Berryton Elementary Thursday.
Jessica Fischli and Paige Turnbow were winners at Tecumseh North and Tecumseh South.
