For the second time this week, the Shawnee County parks and recreation department is recommending the county commission approve a higher bid — though this time, it is because the lower bids didn’t meet qualifications.
The contract on Thursday’s agenda pay Valley Falls-based Heinen Repair Services $50,750 for four mowers.
Three other companies bid lower than that amount, the lowest being $37,555.70 from Professional Turf Products.
