Arkansas City Traveler – December 3, 2013
The Arkansas City Fire-EMS Department responded at 2:18 p.m. Monday for a report of a grass fire on 252nd Road, 2 miles west of U.S. 77.
One grass fire truck and its crew arrived on scene at 2:29 p.m., and they had the fire out by 2:55 p.m., according to ACFD Firefighter-MICT Justin Parks.
About 5 acres of grass were burned by the fire that started when the burning of a nearby brush pile went out of control, Parks said.
