Inez Thorp

Inez Thorp, 73, Humble, Texas, died Jan. 21, 2012, at a hospital at Humble.

She was born Dec. 5, 1938, at Valley Falls, the daughter of Marvin and Mary Boyd Cropper. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1957.

She had worked for several years in the oil industry as a secretary. She was a member of the Humble Area First Baptist Church.

She married Charles “Bill” Thorp June 22, 1958, at Valley Falls. They had resided in Humble for the last 34 years. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Davis, Beaumont, Texas, and Carolyn Gosselin, Zachary, La.; a brother, Melvin Cropper, Wikieup, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday until service time.
