KSN – September 24, 2013
A truck carrying soybean oil overturned Tuesday afternoon closing an on-ramp at K-96 and Kellogg.
It happened just after 2 p.m.
Wichita and Sedgwick County fire crews responded to the scene.
Officials say the driver took the curb too fast causing the truck to roll.
“We’ve seen quite a few crashes. It has been awhile since we’ve had one right here, but a lot of times it’s these larger vehicles that are going to fast for the curve,” said Trooper Gary Warner, Kansas Highway Patrol.
He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
An on-ramp to K-96 was closed for several hours but is now reopen.
The oil is not flammable.
