URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 171 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 950 PM CDT Wed Apr 26 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central Texas * Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 950 PM until 100 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 60 mph possible SUMMARY...Transient cells along and behind a southward-sagging cold front may briefly produce large hail for a few hours. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 30 statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles east southeast of Austin TX to 75 miles west northwest of Austin TX.
