MERIDEN — One person was critically injured and airlifted to an area hospital late Tuesday afternoon, the result of a head-on collision that involved three vehicles on K-4 highway just south of Meriden in Jefferson County.
Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Jared Cripe said a critically injured person was flown by air ambulance to The University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. Though the person’s injuries were critical, Cripe said, the person was expected to live.
