A one-vehicle roll-over accident just before sunup Wednesday near Auburn sent one person to a local hospital and fire crews to the scene after the vehicle caught fire in a ditch.
The accident was reported at 7:16 a.m. in the 8200 block of S.W. 61st.
Initial reports indicated the driver was able to exit his vehicle on his own after the vehicle entered a ditch and rolled. His injuries weren’t considered life-threatening
The vehicle later caught fire where it came to rest in the ditch, which sent both Auburn and Mission Township fire departments to the scene.
The location of the accident was on S.W. 61st Street about a quarter mile east of S.W. Auburn Road.
