Just a reminder that the 2013 State Urban Search and Rescue Alliance (SUSAR) Conference is scheduled for November 4th – 7th at the Marriott Springhill Suites in Lawrence, KS.
The agenda includes a USAR/SUSAR Program Managers & Task Force Leaders Workshop on Monday, November 4th from 1:30 – 5:00 pm.
The main conference will run from Tuesday – Thursday and includes some All-Star presentations and guest speakers this year, including a FEMA US&R Program Update, a presentation on the TXTF-2 response to the West (TX) Explosion, and presentations on the New York and New Jersey responses to Super Storm Sandy last fall, among others.
As of today, we have over 30 vendors from all over the country sponsoring the conference. There is NOT a conference registration fee – and lunches are going to be catered in on Tuesday and Wednesday (courtesy of our vendors). The vendors are also sponsoring a Hospitality Room each night (Monday – Wednesday).
