Atchison businessman dies in Nebraska plane crash

An Atchison business owner was killed Friday when the twin-engine plane he was piloting crashed in rural Nebraska. He died along with three passengers whose names haven’t been released, reports the Atchison Globe.

Mark Bottorff was the owner and founder of Bottorff Construction, which primarily was a concrete contractor founded in 1982, according to the company website.

The plane crashed east of North Platte, Neb., the Globe reports, quoting Jerry Ernzen, vice president of operations with Bottorff Construction, as saying Bottorff was scouting a potential job.
