The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department responded to an attic fire late on Monday evening.

The fire, located at 126 S. 13th Street, caused about $15,000 worth of damage to the home there.

No one was injured.

“All residents had self-evacuated from the structure after smoke alarms activated,” said Craig Duke, deputy chief of the Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department. “A primary search confirmed all residents out of the structure. Fire was located in the attic area.”

The American Red Cross was called to assist four adults who were living in the home.
