Authorities were called to a Topeka hospital early Friday after a shooting victim walked into the emergency department with injuries he suffered in the incident.
Details about the incident remained sketchy as of 6:30 a.m. as the investigation was ongoing.
Early reports indicated the man was shot sometime overnight at Lake Perry in Jefferson County.
Topeka police had been called to the hospital and Jefferson County sheriff’s officers were on the way as of 6:20 a.m.
