Below: The annual Battle of the Badges community blood drive competition got personal Thursday afternoon, as the chiefs of the Newton Police Department and Fire/EMS Department both made an appearance at the event. The competition was all in good fun, however, allowing community members who donate blood to cast a vote for their favorite department. The competition concludes at 1 p.m. today.
