The Olathe Police Department is still investigating a bomb scare that occurred at a local Walgreens store on Friday afternoon.
Police and Olathe Fire Department officials reported to the scene at 151st Street and Blackbob Road just after 4 p.m. on Friday.
According to Olathe Police Department Sgt. Bryan P. Hill, someone called in the bomb threat to the Walgreens.
“Officers were advised that someone had called in and stated that there was a bomb inside the store,” Hill said in a statement. “The store was evacuated and the intersection of 151st Street and Blackbob Road was closed. Adjacent intersections were also closed and traffic was rerouted.”
No one was injured during the threat, which was cleared by police a few hours later.
