A car fire in Kansas City, Kan., caused damage to two homes early Saturday.
Investigators said a homeowner living along North Ninth Street discovered that his car was on fire about 3:30 a.m.
The car had been parked between two houses on the street and both homes sustained minor damage.
Firefighters said the damage was minor enough that both homeowners could stay there for the rest of the night.
Investigators have not said how the fire started.
