A child is in serious condition after being pulled from a pond in south Wichita.
Fire crews responded to the 5100 block of South Madison around 7:40 Monday morning. That’s in the area of 47th Street South and Hydraulic.
A 17-month-old boy was pulled from a small pond in the backyard of a home. He was not breathing, but rescue crews were able to resuscitate him at the scene. He was then taken to a Wichita hospital in serious condition.
