Police and fire crews responded to a vehicle fire near 85th North and Broadway October 17, where boxes of dinner plates in the bed of the truck apparently caught fire.
Valley Center Officer Greg Jackson put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. Fire crews remained on the scene to be sure the fire was out.
