A hay bale fire kept Sedgwick County firefighters busy for hours today.
The fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. near 295th Street West and 55th Street South.
Sedgwick County firefighters said a farmer was using a grinder in the area when a piece of metal flew off, setting some of the hay bales on fire. The farmer called 911.
The loss from the fire is estimated at $6,000.
