The driver of a cement truck that tipped onto its side Monday morning has been taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident was reported about 7:25 a.m. on lanes connecting entrance and exit ramps between Interstate 470 and S.W. Fairlawn. The accident slowed traffic in the area, but traffic was moving past the truck before 8 a.m.
Officials said they expected the scene to be cleared by 9 a.m.
Battalion Chief Andrew Hales said speed may have been a factor in the accident. The truck was attempting to make a turn on a ramp that slopes to the right when it tipped.
