A duplex in Maize suffered extensive damage in a fire Saturday evening.
It happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. at 316 Harvest Lane near 53rd Street North and Maize Road. When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from one half of the duplex.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control quickly. No one was hurt.
The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the families displaced by the fire. The cause is under investigation.
