The Hanover Rural Fire Department was called out last Monday afternoon to the Doug Jueneman farm home north of Hanover where a machine shed was totally enveloped in flames.
It was believed that the fire originated with the tractor and quickly spread to the other pieces of equipment that was stored in the shed. In all nine pieces of farm equipment was lost which included two combines and a tractor.
Five fire departments (Hanover, Hollenberg, Odell, Bremen and Washington) were on the scene to prevent the fire from spreading to the other buildings and the home.
