Four people were transported to the hospital following a car accident near Washburn Rural Middle School Thursday.
Officials responded just after 3:00 p.m. near to the middle school’s entrance on SW 61st Street, east of Wanamaker.
Lieutenant Chris Hamilton with Mission Township Fire told 13 News there were three juveniles in the truck and one adult in the minivan involved in the collision.
One of the people transported was initially listed in serious condition but was upgraded shortly afterward.
Officers are still working to determine how the accident happened.
