While we’ve had wet weather the last couple of days, conditions this past weekend were dry. On Friday, sparks created by a small trailer being pulled by a recreational vehicle were being blamed for a series of small fires along US 24 Hwy between the Cloud County Line and Beloit city limits. The trailer had a blowout that also caused a small fire inside the trailer. Above, firefighters extinguish flames on the Cloud County side of the Simpson turnoff.
