One person is hospitalized in critical condition after a pre-dawn fire on South Volusia Street in southeast Wichita.
Flames were shooting through the windows of a house when fire crews arrived around 5:15 a.m. Friday. Battalion Chief Lt. Sid Mewby says a man was found inside the home, once the flames were damped down. A neighbor describes the man as older in age.
No word was immediately available on where or how the fire started.
