The Kansas Department of Transportation has re-opened K-156 from the U.S. 283 junction at Jetmore to the U.S. 183 junction in Pawnee County, which had been closed most of the evening due to a two vehicle crash east of Hanston in Hodgeman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says two semis were driving eastbound on the highway just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon. The two trucks collided after one slowed to make a left turn onto a county road.

The KHP says both cabs were destroyed by fire after the accident. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a hospital in Jetmore.
