Baldwin City police officers and first responders were honored Monday at the Baldwin City Council meeting for saving the life of Richard Michalowski (fourth from left) after he had a heart attack July 16 at the Baker University tennis courts. After Tim Jones (third from left), started administrating CPR on his playing partner, Baldwin City police officers and first responders continued with the procedure until Michalowski could be transferred to the hospital. From left, the officers and firefighters recognized were Bruce Elliott, Michael Velasquez, Dannie Thomas, James Hensley, Tim Silvers and Tim DeMott.
