Marysville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a hay bale fire at 5:45 a.m. October 3 at Todd Milner’s residence six miles south of Marysville on the east side of U.S. Highway 77.
Two big round hay bales were struck by lightning during the early morning thunderstorm and caught fire. Both bales were destroyed and no injuries were reported, according to Dennis Rockwell, Assistant Fire Chief.
