Cherryvale Fire and Rescue Department personnel manned a boot drive to collect cash donations on Labor Day on Monday to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Jesse Reed and Chris Johns (seated) hold out the boot for a contribution from a drive by donor. Also manning the morning shift during the boot drive at the intersection of Liberty and Main streets were Jason McMannus and Trent King. King said Cherryvale Fire and Rescue, despite being one of the smaller departments in the region always does well gathering donations at the annual donations drive, once amassing $3,000 in a single day for the MDA.
