A malfunction at a public fireworks display in Valley Falls on Thursday night produced an explosion that is believed to have injured an unknown number of people, Jefferson County authorities have confirmed.
A dispatch officer said authorities were still on the scene and were unable to immediately confirm the number of injuries.
