Wellington Daily News – September 12, 2013
Just after noon today (Thursday) a man was trapped under a tractor on South Broadway near 12th street east of Wellington.
A man was driving a tractor with a mower and front end scoop. The tractor overturned into a ditch off south Broadway. He was trapped and had a leg injury.
Wellington fire and rescue personnel used extrication cutters to remove the seat and steering wheel to get the man out. Sumner County sheriff’s department set up a landing zone and the man was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita by Eagle Med helicopter.
