At 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, the Great Bend Fire Department received a request from Rice County for mutual aid at an oil rig southwest of Raymond, where a man was injured and was reportedly 50 feet above the ground with his hand caught in a pulling unit. Great Bend Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said a technical team was
dispatched to help with a high-angle rope rescue.
