Osage County Fire District No. 2 announced winners of its 2013 fire prevention poster winners. Winners by grade are:
First – Kylie Grist, Emily Whalen and Daityn Meek
Second – Kaylee Boner, Logun Fager and Lakyn Wessel
Third – Landon Boss, Kaden Kirkpatrick and Brooke Gill
Fourth – Jerra Butterfield and Mila Little
Fifth – Noah Smith and Taylin Kirkpatrick
Students at Osage City Elementary School in grades 1-5 made posters for fire prevention week. Osage County Fire District No. 2 Junior Firefighters selected a winning poster for each class. Winners were offered a ride to school October 11 in a fire truck.
Osage County Fire District No. 2 firefighters spent October 11 talking to students at school about fire safety. Osage City Lions Club donated and helped pass out ice cream to elementary students and staff at the end of the school day.
The firefighters also spoke to students at Osage City United Methodist Church preschool and two daycares in Osage City during Fire Prevention Week.
