Perry man taken to hospital after Sunday motorcycle crash

A Perry man was taken to a Topeka hospital after crashing his motorcycle Sunday near the Jefferson County/Shawnee County line.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Michael Lee Booth, 50, was riding his 1995 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on US-24 highway about 2:15 p.m. when the crash occurred.

Booth attempted to exit onto K-4 highway but was going too fast, the patrol’s crash log said. He left the exit ramp to the left and crashed into the grassy embankment.

Booth was taken to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center with possible injuries.
