Hays Post – September 10, 2013
Monday night’s rural grass fire northwest of Hays burned almost 40 acres. Ellis County Rural Fire Director Dick Klaus told Hays Post that the blaze started on the road, probably by someone who discarded something. Rural Fire companies 5, 6 and a farmer pulling a disc helped fight the fire. There were no injuries.
