Kansas Securities Commissioner Aaron Jack has resigned from office and says he intends to pursue opportunities in the private sector.
A news release Tuesday announced the resignation, effective immediately.
“I have greatly appreciated the chance to serve on behalf of my fellow Kansans,” Jack said.
Jack previously served in the Kansas Legislature from 2009 to 2011.
The release said Gov. Sam Brownback appointed Josh Ney interim commissioner. Ney joined the commission as a staff attorney in 2011 after working in the Jefferson County attorney’s office.
