Two people are in custody after a pursuit Monday afternoon with Kansas Highway Patrol units that started in Jackson County and ended in Shawnee County.
About 1:30 p.m. Monday, a trooper stopped a Pontiac Grand Prix on US-24 highway near Grantville for traveling at 90 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone in Jefferson County, the patrol said.
While the trooper was in his vehicle completing paperwork, a male driver, who hasn’t been identified yet, backed up the vehicle he was traveling in and pointed a gun at the trooper, patrol Capt. Steven Zeller wrote in a news release.
