Two burn victims remained hospitalized Friday after being hurt Thursday evening in an explosion at a public fireworks display in Valley Falls.
Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig said Julie Durand, of rural Ozawkie, and Jeremy Kaad, of Valley Falls, were taken to the University of Kansas Hospital at Kansas City, Kan., where a nurse said Friday that information about their conditions wasn’t being released.
