JACKSON COUNTIES UNTIL 1230 AM CDT…
At 1131 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Onaga to near Paxico to 8
miles north of Bushong. Movement was east at 40 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include…
Topeka, Holton, Osage City, Carbondale, Rossville, Tecumseh,
Richland, Dover, Silver Lake, Auburn, Overbrook, Lyndon, Burlingame,
Scranton, Hoyt, Mayetta, Denison, Delia, Willard and Pauline.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 between mile markers 346 and 355.
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 155 and 188.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
northeastern and east central Kansas.
