…Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of western Jefferson,
Shawnee, Jackson and southeastern Nemaha Counties through 1130 PM
CDT…
At 1054 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles north of Circleville to 4 miles south
of Dover. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Topeka, Holton, Rossville, Tecumseh, Richland, Dover, Silver Lake,
Auburn, Meriden, Hoyt, Wetmore, Mayetta, Whiting, Denison,
Circleville, Netawaka, Willard, Pauline, Grantville and Potawatomi
Reservation.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 between mile markers 346 and 355.
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 166 and 188.
