Some area law enforcement officers put their grilling skills to the test on Friday during the third annual “Badges and Burgers” event.
Members of the Pittsburg Fire Department and Pittsburg Police Department manned the grill at the Pritchett Pavilion at 2nd and Broadway.
People came out to enjoy burgers and other good food for $5. All proceeds from the cookout will go the United Way.
“These type of fundraiser’s make sure we can provide funding to programs to make sure we are meeting the needs of people served in both states,” says Duane Dreiling of United Way.
The United Way says they are on track to raise their campaign goal of $1.3 million for the year to help the Four State area.
