Leavenworth Times – September 19, 2013
Leavenworth firefighters recovered a body this morning from the Missouri River, Fire Department officials said.
The body was recovered south of the city of Leavenworth’s brush site, according to Acting Fire Chief Mark Nietzke.
Representatives of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Division of Fisheries were in the river tracking sturgeon when they found the body.
