A fire likely caused by a space heater left unattended destroyed a camper on a property directly south of the Right Coop Wilroads grain elevator at 11769 Lariat Way.
Ford County firefighters responded to the call before 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived flames were venting from the front of the camper where one of two space heaters was discovered, Deputy Fire Chief Rob Boyd said.
