First responders in Jackson County worked in extremely cold temperatures after a structure fire was reported Sunday evening.
Sheriff Tim Morse said the sheriff’s office received a 911 call reporting a house fire just after 7 p.m. at 14655 X4 Road in Denison.
The structure was a total loss, Morse said. The residence’s occupants weren’t home at the time of the fire.
The Mayetta, Hoyt and Potawatomi Tribal fire departments responded to the scene, as did Jackson County EMS and the sheriff’s office.
Morse said the blaze remains under investigation.
